Hockey resumes February 11, 2021
2021-02-10
FFGHA will resume practices at Stone Mills Recreation Centre following existing COVID-19 protocols.
Now that The KFL&A Public Health region has reentered Green (Prevent) status within the provincial COVID-19 Framework, recreational hockey is permitted to resume under previously established protocols.
The FFGHA has also received approval from OWHA to resume play. This means that practices will resume Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Stone Mills Recreation Centre in Tamworth. A newly negotiated agreement with The arena will allow us to continue practices until the end of April (pending no change in government direction).
**Please note that the Midget (U18) allocated ice has been reduced to a single ice time per week - Thursdays at 8 p.m.
All protocols and operations remain the same as before the lockdown. Please ensure you are following the COVID-19 Return to Play procedures provided at the beginning of the season. Players, bench staff and accompanying adults must screen for COVID-19 before attending the arena and confirm they have passed screening upon entry. Do not come to the rink if you are sick or have symptoms. A reminder that only one adult per player under the age of 18 is permitted inside the arena to spectate.
We are pleased to be returning, and remain grateful for our partnership with Stone Mills.
Stay safe.
