Fury supports #HumboldtStrong

As the Frontenac Fury Girls' Hockey Association honours our players and families at the end of our season, we wanted to reach out to our larger hockey family – the Humboldt Broncos.

As you know, 16 members of that team have no lost their lives while another 13 continue to recover and heal. Such a loss and tragedy is umimaginable and we know all of our families, like the rest of the country, wanted to do something. Many of us put our sticks out and wore jerseys on Jersey Day April 12.

Together, the Fury Family wanted to do something more. Instead of providing flowers to all of our players at our year-end banquet, the association decided to take that money and make a donation to the Humboldt Broncos Hockey Association instead. A $200 donation was forwarded to the gofundme page set up to support the Humboldt Broncos Hockey Association.

We also had players and families sign a Book of Condolence. The book is being sent along to the Humboldt Broncos shortly. Thanks to everyone who signed the book. #HumboldtStrong
